Eco-Chontales
ATV TOUR – COSTA RICA
Paradisiac waterfall surrounded by jungle
First stop is a magnificent 220′ local waterfall that is pure magic. (10 minute easy walk in/out). From there we roll alongside the Guabito and Guabo rivers to Tres Piedras where we’ll visit my favorite roadside pools and take a dip if you wish.
Then we make our way up the front of Chontales Mountain through some interesting terrain to the top of the mountain and the small town of Villa Bonita and onward to the tour’s highlight: Eco-Chontales Waterfall (20 min moderate hike in/out) where you can get as up close and personal as you want or dare. It is jaw dropping. Excellent swimming in the calm pools below. A 30 ft. cliff dive is available as long as there is not too much water and you’re a strong swimmer.
After that, we’re off to La Rana Roja a really cool, small-scale sustainable aquaculture project where we’ll experience an awesome lunch.
